Making FreeForm only for me.
Thiner lens. Just calculated.
In order to extract maximum performance from the ordered lens, or aesthetically thinner lenses before making it, it is necessary to enter some of the necessary parameters into the computer in order to make the best quality lens on the basis of these data.
Individualization:
Necessary parameters for making Free Form lenses
Personalization:
Based on the given parameters, the thinnest possible lens is made.
Panto
Pantoscopic angle
BWD
Vertex distance
NWB
Distance from the observed object on near distance
IPD
Intermonocular pupillar distance
OCHT
Vertical height measured from the lower boxed tangent
VINS
Variabile inset
PRL
Progressive lenght
FFA/Z-Tilt
Face from angle
Hbox
Horizontal Boxed Lens Size in frame
Vbox
Vertical Boxed Lens Size in frame
DBL
Distance Between Lenses
OPTIMIZATION is a special calculation of the production of optical lenses, based on the shape of the selected frame, type of lenses and information related to refraction. In the process of making an optimized optical lenses, frame shape information is integrated in the calculation.
Using these data and software calculation we obtain the thinnest possible lens. This is the only way to get the most complete and visually thinner lens produced for the exactly specified frame.
Optimization is recommended for all types of lenses. The purpose of calculations is reflected in the maximal thinning, adequate decentralization of lenses and an ideal arrangement of visual areas in the eyepiece - especially important for progressive lenses to reduce unnecessary periphery astigmatism distortions.
Data required for the production of an optimized lens:
• Prescription
• Type and lens material
• Desired coatings
• Shape, type and dimension of the frame Hbox,Vbox,DBL
• IPDL , IPDR i OCHT (Fitting height)
• Preferred minimum edge thickness of the lens in the frame.
• Base curve
If you are not able to provide us with frame shape electronically, on the following page you can find a types of eyepieces.
When ordering OPTIMIZATION it is necessary to emphasize what type it is * Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, and so on. Also, it is necessary to provide exact dimensions of the eyepiece and the distance between the two eyepieces (DBL).
